About the School...

               Nonito Paz Arroyo Memorial National High School, formerly known as Sagrada High School ( Baao High School Annex) is adjacent to Sagrada Elementary School of Sagrada, Baao, Camarines Sur, with a land area of 4,948 sq. m. with spacious surroundings beside the provincial road which makes it accessible to transportation.  The site is donated by the heirs of Dr. Nonito Paz Arroyo, specifically Dr. Minnie Arroyo (deceased) and Dr. Lee Arroyo, known for their charitable works in Baao and neighboring places.

 

               As Sagrada High School then, it started its operation on June 17, 2001. The idea of creating the high school was thru the joint efforts of the following persons. To wit: Dr. Gilbert Sadsad , the former principal of Baao High School; Dr. Godofredo Bengosta, former  Head Teacher of Sagrada Elementary School; Mrs. Gloria Cordez, former Baao District Supervisor; and the former Schools Division Superintendent for Camarines Sur, Dr. Corazon Malaya.

 

                The newborn High School has occupied some of the facilities of Sagrada Elementary School for the first three years of operation. However, through the help of Mrs. Ester Emedis, PTA President for school year 2001-03; Mr. Isidro Benosa, PTA President for school year 2003-04; Mr. Loreto Cabaltera, PTA President for school year 2004-2005 , Mrs. Yolanda Bogtong, former teacher in-charge and PTA Adviser whose efforts paid off after obtaining the present school site. Mr. Mariano Clemente , former Barangay Captain of Sagrada and Mayor Melquiades I. Giate, the long- standing Mayor in the history of Baao, have contributed much in the realization of the high school in Sagrada, Baao, Camarines Sur.

 

                 Former Sagrada High School started only with 39 students’ way back school year 2001-2002, with two teachers Mrs. Yolanda Bogtong and Mr. Dioresty Babor, who was then a locally- funded teacher. And every year after, there were a growing additional number of teachers. Now, as Nonito Paz Arroyo Memorial National High School, it has thirteen (13) teachers, the school head included.
